WebDec 7, 2008 · 566. Location. Denver, CO. Nov 16, 2008. #1. Oil Leak on 1985 Fj60 (Still!!) Trying to figure out where my oil leak is coming from. From the location of the oil, it seems as though the filter is not properly seated, but when I wipe around the filter, there is no oil at the seat. I am attaching two pics, one looking down and one looking up. WebFeb 14, 2024 · Delete T-Case cooler by removing cover plate and replacing with standard OEM part from Cruiser Brothers. Delete Engine Coolant heat exchanger by swapping with standard OEM parts: Hose, Radiator side: 16573-61040. Pipe: 16577-61130. Hose, Water pump side: 16572-61020. I'm not quite sure how to delete the oil cooler.

Fitting: - remove right body panel, open coolant cap. - drain coolant using lowest bolt on water pump. - drain engine oil. - remove exhaust. - 36mm socket to remove centre bolt of oil cooler. WebJul 11, 2024 · So as @OSS says there is a copper washer/gasket on the banjo bolt head side (outside of cooler) and then the O-ring in the groove on the backside of the cooler. Two of each. When you mount the cooler and tighten the bolts, it mashes the O-ring against the engine block mounting surface to create a seal. WebMay 1, 2005 · If I were doing the conversion from scratch, I would find a 75/76 fan and pulley(no clutch), a 76 Cali spec water pump(non fan clutch, with oil cooler) and add the oil cooler from an FJ60. there is an upper and lower steel tube you will need, and a few hoses, best to get new ones, since the location of the lower ones in particular precludes ...
